After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, California, in 2006, I’ve dedicated my time to crafting edible works of art for family and friends across Southern California. My goal has always been to create cakes that are not only fun and visually stunning but also delicious. I’ve been fortunate to have customers who trust my skills and often give me creative freedom. It’s incredible to be a part of a family’s special moments, from weddings to baby showers, birthdays, and graduations, witnessing their family grow over the years.
In 2018, my husband Nick and I decided to return to our roots in the lush, green landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Initially, we aimed to open a small bakery and coffee shop, but despite finding several promising locations, none felt like the perfect fit.
We then considered an alternative approach: finding a house in a great community and potentially opening the bakery later. We stumbled upon a charming, albeit slightly run-down, house on a spacious corner lot that we could afford and, fortunately, was zoned for commercial use. After making the house livable, we tapped into our DIY skills and transformed the entire garage into a fully functional cake studio. It felt like forever, but it took just over a year to complete the renovations, and I officially opened for business in April 2023. Since then, I’ve been steadily building my customer base, creating extraordinary cakes for our local community and hoping to grow our footprint in the greater Portland area.
